About
What is the Point of this Blog?
The Baby Boom was the period following the Second World War when the birth rate in the UK and the USA temporarily increased. It is generally regarded as having run from 1946 to about 1965. If you were born during that time you are a Baby Boomer.
The older members of the Baby Boom generation, of whom, dear readers, I am one, will either have retired recently or will be due to do so during the next few years. Having been fortunate to retire quite early, I am able to draw on personal experience when blogging on retirement planning and similar matters. Other subjects covered in this site are principally ones in which I am interested. Hopefully, we will together find ways to maximise the enjoyment of our retirement.
Three of my favourite pursuits are reading, watching films (usually on DVD) and listening to music. Where I recommend books, DVDs or CDs I will usually provide a product link to the Amazon UK website as I have found Amazon’s prices to be highly competitive. If you buy via a link, I will earn a small amount of commission.
Some of the articles are adapted from an earlier incarnation of this site; some are new. I intend to post further musings on a regular basis.
