“One Day”: an almost perfect novel

I have just finished reading One Day by David Nicholls. It was published last year to considerable critical acclaim but I had not come across it until quite recently when my brother recommended it. I am so pleased he did as it seems to me to be close to a perfect novel. read more »

They include several that I felt confident I would enjoy and, with a couple of exceptions, I was not disappointed; one that I found a surprisingly good read; and one that I disliked so much that I intend never to read anything else by the same author. read more »
