It’s not easy being an Arsenal supporter

In common with other Arsenal fans, I have been feeling pretty fed up for the past couple of days following the 2-1 defeat by Birmingham in the Carling Cup final. The team was far from its best but was still better than its opponents whom it had already beaten twice this season. Still, that is irrelevant. It’s only the result that counts. It nevertheless makes it all the more depressing. Here was a golden chance to win a trophy for the first time since 2005 but we blew it. read more »

We’ve only got one Song

My wife and I made one of our occasional visits to The Emirates stadium yesterday to watch Arsenal play West Ham. Although the Gunners dominated possession, they were far from their best, with several players (notably Fabregas, Chamakh and Arshavin) having an off day. They were also frustrated by the Hammers’ goalkeeper, Robert Green, who was in impressive form. read more »
